These where Carlo’s youth idols, until he heard few accords by someone
named Mike Stern. That’s when he felt the urge of learning more.
He was awarded the Diploma with Honours by the C.P.M after
studying with the maestro Danilo Minotti in Milan and the Diploma with
Honours by the prestigious G.I.T. in Los Angeles.
Here Carlo plays and studies with his six cords idols Scott Henderson,
Joe Diorio, Brett Garsed, T.J. Helmerich and many more. Here
he also attends various concerts-workshops by Frank Gambale, Mike
Stern, Steve Vai, Ritchie Kotzen, Vinnie Moore, Blues Saraceno…
This American experience has hugely contributed to shape Carlo’s
musical taste and personality as well as his academic skills. In 1995
he came second at the European Award Competition Prix de l’Europe
for Rock and Fusion Guitarists in Lausanne, Switzerland.
During his prestigious career he has played with Michele Zarrillo (1993-1994),
Tullio De Piscopo (2001), pop as well as jazz, (Villa
Celimontana Jazz a Roma, Incontri Internazionali della Musica a Salerno,
Villa Manzoni Jazz a Milano, Recco Blues, etc…) and with
Carl Anderson, the never forgotten black Judas in Jesus Christ Super Star.
From year 2002 he is been touring with Gino Paoli also performing in different
TV shows, e.g.
La Vita in Diretta -Rai 2
Sanremo
Top-RAI 1, Baciami Versilia –RAI 1 and 40 anni dei Beatles –Italia1.
He has also participated to the Rai Uno Saturday Show “Trash”
with Enrico Montesano playing with Tiziano Ferro, Nino D’Angelo,
Mino Reitano, etc. In 2005 he will be touring with Gino Paoli and Ornella
Vanoni.

His
first Jazz Rock CD was released in the year 2000 with
the title “Alter Ego”, which was brilliantly
reviewed in the magazines Percussioni and AXE and in
various morning newspapers. His new CD “Too Early” will be
soon released. It is enriched by the collaboration of some of the most
talented musicians on the market like Gavin Harrison, Walter Calloni
e Vittorio Riva at the drums, Dario Deidda, T. Scannapieco, Paolo Pelella
and Aldo Mercurio at the bass, Julian Mazzariello and Pino Tafuto at the
Hammond and Rhodes.
